History

Lanserhof was originally built as a holiday hotel in 1974. Since 1984, it has developed into the leading centre for health in Europe based on the F.X. Mayr philosophy.

In 1998, Lanserhof was acquired by a business consortium consisting of Dr. Christian Harisch, KR Anton Pletzer, Johann Hager und Andreas Wieser. During 1998 and 1999, the entire hotel area including restaurant, reception area, swimming pool and sauna, seminar, sports and exercise rooms in addition to all our hotel rooms was completely redeveloped and modernized.

The entire medical therapy and derma therapy areas were redesigned in 2005. Since then, we have invested annually in further facilities and quality.

In 2010, Andreas Wieser stepped down as a member of the company and was succeeded by businessman Stefan Rutter.

The end of 2011 marked the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of Lanserhof Tegernsee in Germany.

Former managing director Andreas Wieser moved from the operational management of the company into research and development at Lanserhof at the beginning of 2012. Since that time - and after five years of co-managing Lanserhof with Andreas Wieser - Christian Harisch has managed the company together with long-time general manager Andrea Csics.

Dr. Roland Fuschelberger has been medical director at the Lanserhof Lans since August 2012 and Dr. Georg Kettenhuber has become deputy medical director.

Lanserhof Hamburg opened in October 2012 as LANS Medicum, the first ambulatory facility of the LANS Med Concept.

Lanserhof Tegernsee opened in January 2014 as Europe's most modern health resort.
