Pacemaker and defibrillator therapy

The implantation of a cardioverter-defibrillator is one of the most important means to prevent sudden cardiac death. This treatment is used both for patients with heart failure and patients with rapid cardiac arrhythmias. For patients with slow cardiac arrhythmias the implantation of a pacemaker is often the best therapy. Dr. Ujeyl and Mr. Portz are two very experienced physicians who also take on the follow-up monitoring of the implanted devices. Next to the on-site read-out of the pacemaker memory, LANS Cardio also offers a telemedical connection. This allows prompt remote access in case the patient develops symptoms.
