Golden foliage, clean air and pleasant temperatures that require cuddly knitwear – autumn is here and the most beautiful season for hiking.
The region around Innsbruck and the Lanserhof Lans has countless hiking trails that wind breathtaking nature and beautiful mountain scenery, regardless of whether you are looking for an easy walk through the mountains, a medium-difficulty trail or a quite demanding hike.
The rather easy hikes include: the Zirbenweg (Pine Trail), the Seerunde (Lake Trail) and the Viller Moorrunde (Viller Bog Trail). The Zirbenweg is an absolute highlight. Here, at an altitude of almost 2,000 meters above sea level, you can find the largest pine trees in Europe.
The Innsbruck Tourism Office recommends the Zirbenweg as an impressive and easily accessible panoramic path. The Seerunde and the Viller Moor Trail are perfect for a leisurely walk.
For sports and fitness enthusiasts, there are a couple of trails for running and Nordic Walking through spectacular high alpine landscape, such as the Naturgesundheitspfad. However, these should not be underestimated, as challenging paths and uphill climbs require surefootedness, a head for heights and a good physical condition. The altitude almost always lies above 2,000 metres. Information about the weather situation and opening hours are advantageous.
